Three organizations work to support your library. Their work is complementary, not competitive, and they all need your support. Here is a brief description of each:
The Board of Directors are appointed by the City Council and contribute advice in decisions affecting the library.
The Library Foundation of Hillsboro is made up of community volunteers who are passionate about books and learning, and who have a deep and abiding respect for the roles libraries play in communities. The Foundation raises money for the Library through events, private donations, requests to charitable foundations, and donations from local businesses and corporations.
The Friends of the Hillsboro Public Library supports the library through book sales.
